REMIXER'S COMMENT

"I always remix with harmony in mind . I like it to lead me through a song and take it to a new place .Remixing Two Step Colour was a long challenging but thoroughly enjoyable experience .After sometime I thought I would start with the voices and attempted to re context them to create a harmonic departure that would be unexpected . The voices suggested a d set of chords which eventually took their place.I managed to stumble upon a melodic ambient harp thing to work with the voices. The track had a visceral edge which I wanted to maintain so I worked the Gari beats to create a physical backdrop to the harmony . The guitars were thick enough to treat and cut into and the ambient drums retained the live feel to the track . I hope the mix gives a electronic/harmonic kick to the integrity of the cut up rock of the original track . Many thanks for the experience chaps."

「GARIの音楽は以前からライブで拝見していました。僕とは大まかな括りとしてのジャンルは違えど、同世代として今までリアルタイムで聴いて来た音楽からの影響が自分と近いなぁ～と勝手に共感していました。今回、リミックスのお話を頂いて『After Glow』をやらせてもらいましたが、自分の曲以外のリミックスはこれが初めてだったので新鮮な気持ちで取り組めました。　自分の曲作りのスタイルの一つに、頭の中で青写真が完成したと同時にそれを壊して再構築（リミックス）するという方法があります。今回のリミックスも「GARIのサンプルを使って自分の新曲を作るぞ！」といった意気込みでやらせてもらいましたが、原曲のクオリティが高いのでその質だけは保たせようと努力しました。結果的にはリミックスというよりバージョン違いの『After Glow』といった感じでしょうか。気に入ってます。」CUBE JUICE
