東京生まれ。
桐朋学園大学古楽器科卒業。フライブルク音楽大学大学院を卒業後、最優秀の成績にてドイツ国家ソリストディプロマを取得し（チェンバリストとしては同校初めて）、2002年帰国。1999年モントリオール国際チェンバロコンクール第２位入賞。M・ゴネヴィルの現代作品を演奏し最優秀賞も受賞。
2001年3月東京にてソロリサイタル・デビュー。2002年ソロCD『D. スカルラッティ・ソナタ集』（アントレ）をリリースし、各方面より高い評価を得る。2003年2月、日本フィルとJ.S. バッハ 「チェンバロ協奏曲」を共演。ドイツ留学中は、「シュトゥットガルト・バッハ・アカデミー」にて作曲家S・グバイドゥリーナとの共同プロジェクトに参加、またモーリス・アンドレを共演するなど、ヨーロッパ各地で演奏活動を行った。2003年12月には2枚目のソロCD『夢見る雨』をビクターエンタテインメントよりリリース。資生堂アートハウス・コンサートシリーズ、北九州国際音楽祭、東京オペラシティ「B→C」、平安神宮「紅しだれコンサート」「STB139スイートベイジル」で公演を行うなど、全国でソリストとして活躍中。

ソロ以外でも “ラ・フォンテ－ヌ”のメンバーとして活発な演奏活動を行っている。第11 回古楽コンクール・アンサンブル部門（山梨）最高位入賞。2000年ブルージュ国際古楽コンクールのアンサンブル部門第2位、併せて聴衆賞を受賞。これまでに4枚のCDをリリースのほか、ロンドンSBC音楽祭、ヨーク古楽祭などに出演。 2001年度文化庁在外研修員。ピアノを坂井由紀子、チェンバロを故鍋島元子、ロバート・ヒル、ミヒャエル・ベーリンガー、曽根麻矢子の各氏に師事。

<Biography>
Makiko Mizunaga, harpsichord

She was born in Tokyo , Japan. Following the piano study with Yukiko Sakai, she concentrated on the harpsichord, studying with Prof. Motoko Nabeshima at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. Since　1998, she has continued her harpsichord study with Prof. Dr.Robert Hill at the Staatliche Musikhochschule in Freiburg, Germany. After completing the Artist Diploma ( Aufbaustudium)in 2000, she was granted admission to the Soloist Diploma program and completed in 2002.　She was the first harpsichordist ever selected in Freiburg for this highly competitive degree. In 1999, she won the second prize at the International Montreal Harpsichord Competition and, in addition, was awarded a special prize for the best performance of the contemporary harpsichord solo piece ( composed by M.Gonneville). She performed her solo debut recital in Tokyo in March, 2001.

She is one of the founding members of the Japanese Baroque Ensemble, "La Fontaine" (founded in 1996). In 1997, La Fontaine received the second prize at the Early Music Competition in Yamanashi. In 1999, they participated in the York Early Music Festival in England，and in 2000, they received the second prize and the audience prize at the International Early Music Competition in Brugge, Belgium. After this competition, Philip Pickett, a British early music specialist invited them to participate in the SBC Early Music Festival in London in 2001.
The group has released 4CDs so far and their performances are heard regularly on the radio in Japan(NHK-FM).
